The gas filter Sundstrøm SR-298 AX is specially designed for use with Sundström half and full masks. This gas filter is of type A2AX and provides reliable protection against organic gases and vapors, such as solvents. The filter can easily be combined with particle filter SR 510 P3 R to also achieve protection against aerosols (particles), for example when spraying paint.
Sundstrøm SR-298 AX gas filter comes individually wrapped in a practical bag and meets the requirements of the EN 14387 standard. It can be used in combination with Sundstrøm particle filter SR-510, where the particle filter is pressed firmly on top of the gas filter. This makes it extremely flexible and compatible with both Sundstrøm half and full masks.
The gas filter is designed to protect against organic compounds with a boiling point below or equal to 65 ºC. The high level of protection is due to the active carbon that the filter consists of. The activated carbon has a huge surface, where 1 gram has a surface of 1200 m2. This allows the activated carbon to adsorb the gases without causing any noticeable change in breathing resistance.
