This first aid sign for slurry gas poisoning has been developed in collaboration between SEGES, the Norwegian Working Environment Authority and BAR - Jord til Bord. The sign can be purchased in sizes A2, A3 and A4 and is available in either reflective aluminum or 3mm Dibond.

When you encounter someone who has been poisoned by slurry gas, it is important to take the necessary precautions to protect yourself. The sign urges you to use an effective respirator and warns others of the danger of poisoning.
You are also instructed in how to help the poisoned person into fresh air and call 112 to call for professional help. If the person is still conscious, you should make sure to give them plenty of fresh air and keep the person awake until the ambulance arrives. You are also encouraged to gently shake the person and ask loudly if they are okay.
If the person is unconscious but still breathing, act quickly and create a clear airway by placing the person in a stable lateral position. It is also important to check the person's breathing regularly and wait for the ambulance.
If the person is not breathing and there are several of you present, one person must immediately be sent for the nearest defibrillator - AED. You will be given instructions to start CPR and ventilation. During the heart massage, you must place your hands in the middle of the chest and press hard and at least 5 cm deep 30 times with at least 100 pressures per minute. At the same time, close your lips around the person's mouth and blow until the chest rises.
You must repeat the CPR with 30 compressions and 2 breaths until the person regains consciousness or help arrives and can take over. If more than one person is present, one person should continue the CPR while another person applies electrodes to the defibrillator and follows the instructions.
To ensure accurate and effective shocks from the defibrillator, no one must touch the poisoned person when the defibrillator analyzes and delivers shocks. If the person responds by moving, opening their eyes or breathing normally, stop CPR and ventilation. If the person is still unconscious, place the person in a stable lateral position and continue to control breathing.
